Trend in Elective Referrals to an NHS Provider by Commissioner

The chart below shows the trend int he number of non-emergency (elective) referrals made to a chosen NHS provider broken down by the organisation responsible for commissioning (buying) the service.  Services are usually commissioned by the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) or by NHS England but all commissioners of services are included in the scope of this analysis.

The chart shows the top-n commissioners by the number of elective referrals in the period chosen. Referrals are counted as the number of New RTT Periods as defined in the publication guidance and groups together all ‘Others’ outside the top-n.

The source data for this chart is NHS England’s Consultant-led Referral to Treatment dataset. This is a publicly available datasets published monthly.
